SID-Washington Announces

2017-18 Board of Directors

 

Washington, DCThe Society for International Development – Washington Chapter (SID-Washington) announced today its 2017-18 Board of Directors. The Executive Committee includes the following:

The world is facing unprecedented development challenges, and I am excited about the opportunity to work with our new board and our members to develop and share innovative ways to overcome them.”

“Our new board reflects the diversity of sectors and institutions within the current development space,” stated Katherine Raphaelson, President of SID-Washington. “We look forward to working with the board and, through its expertise, strengthening our programs and strategic plan.”

In addition, Jean Gilson, Executive Committee Member of the Governing Council of the Society for International Development (SID-International) was appointed to serve as the SID-International Governing Council Liaison to the SID-Washington Board.

SID-Washington is the largest chapter of the Society for International Development and the premier professional association for individuals and institutions interested in international development in the Washington, DC region. The mission of SID-Washington is to advance equitable development by bringing diverse constituencies together to debate critical ideas, policies, and practices.  Through its many programs and events, such as its upcoming Annual Dinner, SID-Washington convenes its members and the broader community for information exchange and networking.
