Annie Killefer is Blumont’s Senior Technical Advisor for Humanitarian Assistance. She focuses on the organization’s camp management portfolio including 6 camps and 75 informal sites in northeast Syria, as well as 8 camps in Iraq. Annie’s passion is upholding dignity and humanitarian rights in displacement, particularly for women, children, and marginalized minorities. Prior to joining Blumont, Annie was the Response  Director for Plan International’s Rohingya Refugee Program in Cox’s Bazaar Bangladesh—the largest refugee camp in the world—where she managed a team of more than 1,100 people overseeing programming focused on humanitarian child rights, specifically equality for girls through education, child protection, and youth empowerment. Annie has also worked in humanitarian responses in Kenya, Syria, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Thailand, Nepal, Iraq, and Mexico with Oxfam and other international organizations.

Annie holds a BA in Latin American Studies from Bard College and an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University. She is also a birth doula.
