Austin leads the global operations and information and technology teams at Evidence Action, an NGO focused on scaling evidence-based and cost-effective programs to reduce the burden of poverty. In this role, Austin oversees organizational risk mitigation and the promotion of systems, processes and policies to enable the continued growth of Evidence Action’s impact. Previously, Austin served on Evidence Action’s Deworm the World Initiative, responsible for the financial and operational components of the global program. During this period, Austin supported the program’s expansion within India from four to eleven states and entry into Nigeria and Pakistan.

Prior to joining Evidence Action, Austin lived and worked in East Africa for 5 years, initially leading his own research before joining Innovations for Poverty Action where he managed two randomized control trials investigating mechanisms to improve the quality of public service delivery in Uganda. Austin holds a bachelor’s degree in international development and social justice from Hamilton College.
