Bogdan Kelichavyi is currently serving as the Mayor/City Manager of Kopychyntsi, an amalgamated community in the Ternopil region of Ukraine with a population of about 15,000 citizens. In this role, he has had to manage the city's response to the migration of hundreds of IDPs. He also serves as the Chairman of the Ternopil Regional Branch of the Association of Amalgamated Communities. Mr. Kelichavyi earlier worked as a Local Economic Development Officer on the USAID-funded program, Decentralization Offering Better Results and Efficiency (DOBRE), where he supported local economic development in 75 amalgamated communities that were newly established as result of the decentralization and territorial reforms in Ukraine. Mr. Kelichavyi holds a masters' degree in engineering, e-governance technologies, and services and a master's degree in international law and legal studies from the Tallinn University of Technology.
