Chris Watson is the Business Development Manager for the International Development market at Premise Data. Premise is a venture-backed, Silicon Valley-based, technology company that runs a two-way global marketplace for high-quality ground truth data gathered by their global network of taskable citizen contributors. Chris is responsible for sales, marketing, and use case development in the international development space. He has brokered partnerships with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, United Nations Development Program, and USAID.
Before moving into technology, Chris served in a variety of business development and program implementation roles at AECOM International Development and International Relief and Development. At both organizations, Chris was responsible for leading large-scale, high priority bids with a focus on fragile states. Chris has worked long-term in southern Afghanistan and Niger. He is an avid mountain biker and snowboarder.
