DEIA

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA)

SID-United States is committed to  elevating  our work  on  diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). SID-US prioritizes DEIA through our Workgroups, Networks, programs, members, Board, and strategic plan. Our goal is to amplify under-represented and historically excluded voices in the SID-US community and around the world, especially, but not limited to those that self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC); women, genderqueer, non-binary, LGBTQIA+; people with disabilities; and those from formerly or currently colonized countries.

SID-US will ensure that our events are inclusive, diverse, and representative of the international development community that we serve. In line with these commitments, SID-US prioritizes including diverse speakers at all our events, and we are committed to holding ourselves accountable through our strategic plan. In addition, SID-US is committed to ensuring the principles of DEIA are integrated holistically within its culture, staffing, vendor selection, policies, and business practices.

We are also counting on our members, partners, and leaders to commit to meaningful and robust action to address DEIA, along with us.
