Dr Ruwayne Kock a registered Organisational Psychologist who works as a practitioner and academic across industries, levels and geographies. He has extensive global experience in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), leadership development, talent management, executive coaching, organisation development, and change management.

He has experience leading culturally diverse teams across markets such as Europe, Middle East and Africa, and mobilising these teams around a common vision, aligned strategy, and practical plan to support business performance and growth. Dr Kock founded the management consultancy, Authentic Organisations, in 2019 to help marginalised professionals and leaders such as racial-ethnic groups, young people, women, and LGBTI+ people to be their best at work.

Dr Kock holds a Doctorate in Commerce in the field of Industrial and Organisational Psychology from College of Business and Economics, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His specific research interests include work authenticity and positive work identity of marginalised professionals and leaders in organisations. His research work underwrites his empirical and practical understandings of characteristics that enable these professionals and leaders to be their very best selves at work. He serves as leadership faculty at both South African and international business schools, senior research associate and research supervisor of organisational psychology internships and master’s students at South African universities.

Dr Kock serves on the board of the Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa, leading DEI. He is also a board member of Dream it Believe it Live it, an NPO, who provides educational support to youth in underprivileged communities to build sustainable futures and communities in South Africa.
