Ellie Price is a Locus Coalition Coordinator at Pact. Previously, Ms. Price was a Program Officer for Crisis Response and Integrated Development at FHI 360, working on a strategic initiative to build humanitarian response informed by integrated development approaches. She also supports the Locus Coalition of NGOs on efforts to make development funding more flexible and responsive to local priorities. Ms. Price started a young professionals network at FHI 360 to create opportunities for early career professionals to take leadership and operationalize cross-organizational collaboration from the grassroots, supporting members to design an internal grants program, technical skills training, and other professional development exchanges. Prior to FHI 360, Ms. Price co-designed an agribusiness incubator program with resettled refugees in West Michigan, was a research assistant on grassroots citizen mobilization in Sub-Saharan Africa, and consulted with various nonprofits. Ms. Price studied East African politics and religion at Uganda Christian University in Mukono, and holds a B.A. in International Development Studies from Calvin College. Ms. Price looks forward to working with SID-Washington members’ early-career workforce to envision and carry forth their role in rethinking development paradigms, financing the SDGs, and shifting decision-making to emerging leaders in the Global South.
