Lindsay Coates, President of InterAction, Tom Hart, North American Executive Director of the ONE Campaign, David Berteau, CEO of the Professional Services Council (PSC), and Jason Gross, Executive Director of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) have all agreed to participate on a panel to discuss their predictions and planning for the 2017-18 budget years, offer insights into the changes we might anticipate for international assistance programs going forward, and answer your questions. Nora O'Connell, Associate Vice President of Save the Children's Public Policy & Advocacy Department and SID-Washington Board Member, will moderate this discussion.
Media reports of international assistance account budget cuts, reduced U.S. programming commitments and a turn “inward” for the United States are shaping a new narrative toward our life saving and mission-critical, civilian-led, foreign assistance programs. As we move into a time of transformation and change, SID-Washington believes it is important to hear directly from the advocacy organizations that represent the broad spectrum of stakeholders within the international assistance community. We are excited to be able to provide this opportunity for education and information exchange for our institutional members during this critical time.
