IM Event: New Year, New USAID? -- The State of Internal Reforms in 2018

Last spring, the Trump administration announced a planned restructure of all federal agencies, including the State Department and USAID. The development community has seized on this as an opportunity for needed reform, while recognizing the need to safeguard development as a critical pillar of U.S. international engagement.

We hope you will join us for an off-the-record discussion of critical issues on redesign with Jim Richardson, Senior Advisor and Coordinator of the Transformation Task Team at USAID, and Josh Klein from the Senate Foreign Relations staff, to get the latest on USAID’s internal reforms and other changes. This will be a chance to engage with USAID leadership, senior Hill staff, and your peers in international development in an interactive conversation on USAID's plans to become more efficient and relevant and the impact these changes will have on your organizations.

There will be Coffee and a Light Breakfast sponsored by Tetra Tech.

This event is open to SID-Washington Institutional Members only, and will be limited to 1 representative from each member organization due to space constraints. If your organization is a member, and you'd like to register, please email events@sidw.org. If your organization is not a member of SID-Washington, and you would like to join, please click here.
