The Potential Impact of the Proposed US Development Finance Corporation (USDFC)

Now that the BUILD bill has been submitted for consideration by Congress, debates are raging over the appropriate structure, instruments, and relationship between the newly proposed U.S. Development Finance Corporation (USDFC) and other existing development agencies, especially USAID. In addition to these important issues, we will explore the opportunities that a modern development finance institution (DFI) can offer to emerging and frontier market entrepreneurs, to U.S. companies, and to the U.S. development community. This SID-W workshop will tap into expertise from various points of view to explore these and other compelling questions.
