SID-Washington will host a small focus group of SID-W institutional members – who are working in the field on the issues of trafficking, modern slavery, and abuse – to discuss how they deal with the associated safeguarding and duty of care issues. We already recognize the challenges international development organizations face in the current climate particularly with respect to standards, training, and code of conduct. These elements can include collating relevant statistics and qualitative content relating to trafficking in people and the standards currently being set. The aim of this focus group is to capture key issues and problems that organizations are facing in the field. These ideas would be incorporated into the construction of an app at the inception stage ensuring it meets the needs of implementers.
To RSVP, please send the name and email address of your organization’s representative(s) to [email protected]. This event is for SID-Washington Institutional Members (IM) only. If your organization is not a SID-Washington IM and you'd like to join, please see membership information here or email [email protected].
This event is part of SID-Washington's Series on Prevention of Modern Slavery. For more information about the series, click here.
