The International Community’s Response to the Afghanistan Crisis

As outlined in the recent UN Humanitarian Flash Appeal, the people of Afghanistan have suffered from forty years of war, recurrent natural disasters, chronic poverty, drought, and the COVID-19 pandemic. With the new Afghanistan government announced, conflict continues to escalate and international development and humanitarian operations have become even more complicated and challenging. Join us for an important discussion on the challenges international organizations face in responding to one of the most difficult and precarious humanitarian situations around the world.

Henrietta Fore, Executive Director, UNICEF, will deliver a keynote address followed by a panel discussion moderated by Jeff Grieco, President and CEO of the Afghan American Chamber of Commerce.
