This year we are delighted to honor Governor David Beasley, recently retired Executive Director of the World Food Programme, with our award for Outstanding Leadership in International Development. Governor Beasley has contributed in an exceptional way to international development through his leadership at the World Food Programme, raising $55 billion during his tenure, and helping to combat not just famine and starvation, but also mass migration and destabilization in a number of regions.
