Do you offer internships?

Becoming a Member

 

How do I become a member?

In order to become a member, all you need to do is click the Membership tab at the top of our home page. You will be directed to a page outlining both the individual and institutional member dues structures. Click the membership you would like to receive and fill out the form. You can either pay online via credit card or mail the member registration form to SID-Washington directly with a check.
 

What is the best method of payment?

SID-Washington prefers you mail in your form and check so we can process your registration quickly and accurately. Our mailing address is 1129 20th Street, NW, 5th Floor, Washington, DC, 20036.

How do I register for an event?

In order to register for an event, you may click on the event under the upcoming events section on our homepage or in our events section. This will take you to a description of the event. On the left, there will be a link that says “Register,” click here.
 
Note: Institutional Member-only events registration may only be confirmed by emailing events@sidw.org.
 

Do I have to RSVP for an event?

SID-Washington prefers that you register in advance for any of our events so that we know how much material to bring and to we do not exceed capacity restrictions in the designated venue space.
 

What happens if I register for an event but cannot attend?

Please let SID-Washington know as soon as possible if you cannot attend an event. We print event fliers and speaker biographies according to the number of people that RSVP, so canceling in advance helps us save resources.
 

Are recordings of the events available?

We post recordings of our past events in the Livestream and Past Event Recording page on our website, for our current members. This page requires an active membership to access.
 

How do I access the livestream?

The livestream for our events are posted on the Livestream and Past Event Recording page on our website. You will need to log into your account to access this page, as the livestream is offered for current members. 

Can Non-Members attend events?

Non-Members are welcome to attend all SID-Washington events that are open to the public. However, some SID-Washington events are closed to non-members or may have a cost associated for non-members to attend.
 

How do I receive the newsletter?

You can sign up for our weekly newsletter on our Homepage. There is a box at the bottom of the page that says “Newsletter.” Enter your email address here to receive a newsletter. You do not have to be a member to receive the newsletter, which is sent out every Monday.
 

Who can post things in the newsletter?

Only our current institutional members can post events in our weekly newsletter. If your organization is not an institutional member, SID-Washington may post the information through our social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook) at our discretion.
 

When do I have to send in my information for it to be included in the newsletter?

All information must be sent in to events@sidw.org by 10 am on Monday to be included in the weekly newsletter.
 
 

Current Members

 

What if I forgot my username and password?

You can use the “request new password” option when attempting to login. If you still cannot access your account, call SID-Washington directly at (202) 331-1317 and one of our associates can reset it for you.
 

I have not received my copy of the Development Journal, what should I do?

SID-Washington members only receive hard copies of the Development Journal during their first year of membership. After the first year, you will receive online versions. SID International handles the publication and distribution of the Development Journal, but for online access, you can visit their website at www.sidint.net and login using the same login information you use for the SID-Washington website.
