Helen has been supporting USAID Advancing Nutrition’s food systems and nutrition programming since January 2019. She currently leads activities focused on strengthening the design, implementation, and evaluation of agriculture and food systems activities to support improved diet and nutrition outcomes. Before joining USAID Advancing Nutrition, she contributed to a variety of socially-oriented efforts, including conducting market research to support the scaling of social enterprises in East and West Africa and working at sustainable farms in New York and France. Helen served as a Environmental Action Peace Corps Volunteer in Benin, West Africa. She holds a Masters of Science in Food Security from University of Edinburgh and a B.A. in Environmental Studies, Government, and African Studies from St. Lawrence University.
