Jonathan is a Senior Manager in TBI’s government advisory practice. He leads TBI’s work on thought leadership, impact and partnerships, and coordinates its sectors specialisations – which include centre of government strengthening and delivery, energy and infrastructure, jobs and industrialisation, agriculture, education and health. Prior to taking on this role, Jonathan served as the country manager for Liberia, where he managed the Institute’s team of advisers and served as an adviser to the president and various ministers on private-sector development and agriculture transformation.

Before joining the Institute, Jonathan worked as a long-term embedded adviser in Malawi's Ministry of Trade and Industry, through Imani Development, and in Guyana's National Competitiveness Strategy Unit, through the Overseas Development Institute's fellowship. He started his career working as an economics consultant with the Centre for Economics and Business Research in the United Kingdom. He has an MSc in economics from the University of Warwick. Jonathan is based in Washington D.C.
