Kate Heuisler is currently the Chief of Party for the USAID SPEED Program, an economic policy reform and implementation project working to improve the enabling environment for businesses in Mozambique, implemented by DAI Global, LLC.  Kate is a three-time Chief of Party with 21 years of experience designing and managing international development programs and partnerships. Prior to the assignment in Mozambique, she ran the award-winning Development Innovations project in Cambodia, one of the case studies to be presented today, and has served in Chief of Party and Country Director roles for a series of regional and bilateral USAID-funded projects in Southeast Asia and Mongolia, Cambodia, and Timor-Leste. She has a Master’s of Science degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and is a passionate advocate for people-centered project design and delivery.
