Mr. Johnson serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Tetra Tech’s Global Development Services (GDS) Division in Washington D.C. He provides leadership for global operations, including strategic direction and business development efforts, for the GDS Division. With 4,500 staff worldwide operating in more than 100 countries, Tetra Tech’s GDS Division provides foreign assistance technical and program management services to USAID, U.S. Department of State, MCC, DFAT, FCDO, EU, multilateral development banks, and other governmental agencies worldwide.

Mr. Johnson has 36 years of experience in strategic planning, capacity building, environmental management, technology innovation, financial management, mergers and acquisitions, and business development. During his career, he has provided management consulting in support of USAID, DOS, EPA, DoD, FEMA, NOAA, ADB, the World Bank and the private sector for a variety of international and domestic projects.

Mr. Johnson is an active member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC), the Professional Services Council/Council of International Development Companies (PSC/CIDC) and serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Society for International Development, United States Chapter (SID-US). Mr. Johnson holds a M.B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America.
