(In-person Registration) Supporting the Transition to Scale: USAID’s Development Innovation Ventures

Join us in-person on November 29, 2022 at 11 AM ET for this event. If you would like to attend virtually, register here. This event is only open to SID-US individual and Institutional Members. If you are not a SID-US member and would like to join, please click here or email us at [email protected]

USAID’s Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) is the Agency's evidence-tiered, open-innovation program that provides grant funding to innovators and researchers to test new ideas, take strategic risks, build evidence of what works, and advance the best solutions. DIV supports solutions that demonstrate rigorous evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and viable pathways to scale and sustainability.

The Society for International Development, United States (SID-US) has invited DIV to deliver an informational session about its grant program to SID-US members.

DIV seeks to improve the quality and diversity of applications it receives in response to its Annual Program Statement (APS) and to raise its profile among international development professionals. In particular, DIV seeks high quality applications to support innovations in Stage 3: Transition to Scale. To achieve this objective, DIV is working with SID-US to plan an in-person or virtual informational event about DIV that will be promoted across SID’s channels and members. SID-US will lead the promotion of the event.

This event is targeted toward potential DIV applicants from across international development, including the private sector, social entrepreneurs, nonprofits, academia, and research communities that make up SID-US’s members. The session will present key information from DIV’s APS, including selection criteria, in a live format. Audiences will learn about the stages of funding, DIV’s principles, selection criteria, and how to determine if DIV funding is a good fit for their development solutions, and will have the opportunity to ask questions of DIV. It will focus on Stage 2 and 3 criteria because DIV and SID-US believe that SID-US’s members have the potential to be great fits for later stage awards.

Registration will close at 4 PM ET on Friday, November 25, 2022. Meeting details will be sent to all registered member participants shortly thereafter.
