Shamarukh Mohiuddin is a Principal Associate at Nathan Associates where she engages the private sector in efforts to support international economic development, trade and market integration. She also provides thought leadership and partnership advice for Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS) related activities of the U.S. government. She is also the Co-Chair of the Society for International Development, Washington Chapter's (SID-W) Corporate Role in Development Workgroup.

Previously, Ms. Mohiuddin served as the Director of Economic Empowerment at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation where she helped global businesses harness their efforts to promote economic empowerment in under-served communities globally. She also served as Senior Advisor at WEConnect International, connecting women owned businesses to global corporate value chains and as a committee co-chair at Women in International Trade. She is also on the Advisory Board for Women Forward International.

Ms. Mohiuddin is an expert in catalyzing cross-sector partnerships for development and equipping businesses to be drivers and advocates for inclusive and sustainable growth. She served previously as Executive Director of the U.S. Bangladesh Advisory Council, as a Director at Fontheim International, LLC, a corporate social responsibility and government relations consulting firm, and as a Director at Business Council for Global Development. She also led the activities of nonprofits including GlobalWorks Foundation and Lift Up Asia which are focused on anti-poverty and worker empowerment efforts globally.  Ms. Mohiuddin has also worked at the Progressive Policy Institute, Council on Foreign Relations, Center for Budget and Policy Priorities and the World Bank. Shamarukh has written a number of editorials, policy reports, a journal article, and spoken at numerous public events.

Ms. Mohiuddin holds an M.A. in International Relations and South Asia Studies from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.A. and B.S. in International Affairs and Financial Economics from the University of Maine. She speaks Bengali, English and intermediate French and Hindi.
