Yasmine Rouai is Associate Director, Global Health Policy with Government and Public Affairs EMD Serono. In her current role, she works on increasing internal capabilities on Public Private Partnerships as well as on Healthy Women, Healthy Economies. The latter is an initiative which originated in APEC, which tackles women’s health barriers through policy interventions to increase their labor force participation. Prior to joining EMD Serono in 2015, she started her career at the World Bank where she worked on economic development issues affecting the Middle East and the North Africa region. During her tenure at the Bank, she conducted research and analysis on a wide range of issues in the region such as private sector development, subsidy reform, trade barriers and policies and financial reform. She also served as Global Trade Specialist at Sandler Trade LLC where she focused on trade policy and advocacy for U.S. trade preference programs. Yasmine holds both a Master of Arts in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University and a Master of Science in Finance from Johns Hopkins University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University in International Affairs with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies.
