Zachary Baquet serves as the Knowledge Management Specialist for USAID’s Bureau for Food Security (BFS) and works on finding effectice ways to connect those in the development community with the technical knowledge they need to succeed. Prior to joining BFS, he held an American Association for the Advancement of Science: Science & Technology Policy Fellowship in USAID’s Office of Agriculture. In the Office of Agriculture, he worked on food security, how to integrate climate change and natural resource management into agriculture programming, and knowledge management issues. He has a B.A. in Physics and Astronomy and dabbled briefly in aerospace engineering before getting a Ph.D. in developmental molecular biology.
