Thank you for joining us!

The SID-United States Annual Conference has been a Washington, DC tradition for development professionals for over 25 years. In 2020 and 2021, we were able to share the Conference with an international community of attendees through our virtual platform. This year, we synthesized our virtual and in-person Conference to offer our first ever fully hybrid Annual Conference on Thursday, May 26th. Visit our Annual Conference website here to learn more.

With accessibility in mind to welcome our expanded community, the in-person component was similar to our past Conferences with an Exhibit Hall, plenary sessions, breakouts, and an end-of-day reception, while the virtual component featured a similar schedule in an online format. There were virtual networking opportunities, a virtual Exhibit Hall, and our plenaries will be streamed on the online platform. We had a virtual production and support team on-site at the Ronald Reagan Building to seamlessly merge the in-person and virtual experiences.

This year’s Conference theme was Inclusive Development: A Healthy, Prosperous, and Resilient Planet for All. Our programming included sessions on health, climate change, peace and security, democracy and governance, economic growth, development finance, DEI, locally led development, and more. We had keynotes, fireside chats, panels and workshops to continue the conversation on cross-cutting, intersectional issues that practitioners in international development face today.
