David joined the USAID/Georgia Mission in 2006 and has managed projects with total value above $200 million. David’s responsibilities have included management of Competitiveness, Private Sector, Business Enabling Environment, Rural Development, Access to Finance, and Postwar recovery projects. He has also been involved in management of sector, performance, and impact evaluation activities, as well as supported USAID Missions in Mongolia and Azerbaijan. Currently, David coordinates and manages the Mission’s competitiveness and private sector work.

In addition to his work with USAID, David is the professor of Marketing at the Caucasus University. He has a PhD degree in Business Administration, and graduate degrees in Public Administration and Management Information Systems. Before USAID he was the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia responsible for transport, roads, and the ICT sector.  David has four kids and loves dancing and farming.
