Dr. Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka

Dr. Kalema-Zikusoka has become known for her pioneering work in population, health, and environment (PHE) as part of efforts to conserve the mountain gorillas and wildlife of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. She recently became a National Geographic Explorer and received the 2020 Aldo Leopold Award and Sierra Club’s 2018 EarthCare Award.
