Roger Ford is managing director and global co-lead for Accenture Development Partnerships, which focuses on helping international development organizations address the world’s most complex social, economic and environmental issues. He leads a global team of consulting and technology professionals to deliver impact at scale - applying Accenture’s world-class capabilities, innovation architecture, and ecosystem to drive sustainable impact and development outcomes.
Roger works at the intersection of global development, business, and technology to convene innovative partnerships and co-create new business models, which embrace disruption to help address traditional development challenges spanning health, agriculture, energy, education, and finance to deliver measurable progress towards achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Under his leadership, Accenture Development Partnerships has partnered with over 100+ clients in 90+ countries, delivering hundreds of projects annually.
Roger joined Accenture in 1998 from Thomson Reuters and became a Managing Director in 2003. During his 22 years with Accenture, Roger has served in a variety of leadership assignments with increasing responsibility. Prior to his current role leading Accenture Development Partnerships, Roger helped lead B2B strategy and digital product development in Accenture’s retail energy practice and led enterprise-scale digital and technology implementations for Accenture’s federal clients.
Since 2018, Roger has served as an active board member for the Society of International Development Washington Chapter, where he works with international development practitioners and institutions to promote more inclusive, diverse, equitable, and sustainable international development. He is a frequent speaker and actively participates in a broad range of industry panels and working groups spanning a wide range of international development topics including the role of business in development, digital and innovation for impact, M&A, and public-private partnerships. He is currently chairing the 2020 SID-W Annual Conference Committee.
