Joan O’Donnell Condon is a Senior Professional Staff Member on the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the U.S. House of Representatives. She has worked for the Committee for nearly eighteen years, serving four different Chairmen, and has worked to enact more than 18 Public Laws. Since 2013, she has served as the principal staff responsible for oversight of U.S. foreign assistance and international peacekeeping. Between 2000 and 2011, she served as the principal staff covering Sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb, global health, and international peacekeeping. Between November 2011 and January 2013, she served as Associate Director for Congressional Affairs at the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Joan holds a BA in Political Science from Western Maryland College and has completed the coursework for a MA in Government and International Security from the Johns Hopkins University.
