Jodie Wu currently serves as the CEO of OffGridBox, which focuses on bringing clean water and clean energy to remote areas and developing countries. Prior to OffGridBox, she was the CEO and founder of Global Cycle Solutions (GCS) based in Tanzania, which leveraged the bicycle as a vehicle to bring simple post-harvesting technologies to smallholder farmers, which was born in MIT's D-Lab. In 2008, she led the product design team that designed GCS’s first prototype of the GCS Bicycle Maize Sheller, and in 2009, she led GCS to win the 100K Business Plan Competition at MIT. In 2017, Jodie sold her company and became VP of New Products of Greenlight Planet, piloting pay-as-you-go solar water pumps among a multitude of different technologies. Wu is a 2010 Echoing Green Fellow, 2011 TEDGlobal Fellow, 2013 D-Lab Scale-Ups Fellow, and 2016 C3E International Award Winner.
