Mr. Johnson serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Tetra Tech’s Global Development Services (GDS) Division in Washington D.C. He provides senior management leadership for operations, including strategic planning and business development efforts, for the GDS Division – a $700 million annual revenue operation focused on providing foreign assistance technical and program management consulting services to USAID, U.S. Department of State, MCC, DFAT, FCDO, EU, multilateral development banks, and other governmental agencies worldwide.

Mr. Johnson has 35 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing and business development, communications, financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, market analysis, capacity building, private sector engagement, technology innovation, and enterprise risk management. He has provided management consulting support to USAID, DOS, EPA, DoD, FEMA, NOAA, ADB, the World Bank and the private sector. He has also served as a senior consultant to USAID, EPA, and DoD on a variety of international projects.

Mr. Johnson is an active member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC), the Professional Services Council/Council of International Development Companies (PSC/CIDC), and serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Society for International Development Washington Chapter (SID-W). Mr. Johnson holds a M.B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification from the Insurance Institute of America.
