Neil Fowler is an international development practitioner with extensive experience in conflict-affected and fragile states. He has worked as a technical adviser and team leader in a number of countries, including Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Somalia and Syria. Neil has worked across a range of sectors, from public financial management to security and justice to the extractive industries, and from direct implementation to capacity development of host country governments. In addition to his time at Adam Smith International, Neil has worked for the World Bank, United Nations Development Program and Accenture. Neil was also Associate Director at Innovations for Successful Societies, a research unit attached to Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs that explores the implementation of institutional change in fragile states.
