Paul Larson

Paul Larson serves as a Project Management and Business Analyst at Macfadden. He formerly served as Deputy Director of Operations at Barbaricum, LLC supporting business development and project management in frontier markets. His recent past projects included an evaluation of the Afghan prison system for the Department of State and an Afghan trade-promotion program for the Department of Commerce. Prior to joining Barbaricum he worked with Engility Corporation (L-3 MPRI). He conducted market analysis and strategic planning for growth in international markets and subsequently oversaw business development operations for the largest division of the company. Mr. Larson holds a master’s degree from George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR) examining the legitimacy of governance structures in post-conflict and complex development operations. He taught at Hebei Normal University in Shijiazhuang, China and studied in Liberia, Nicaragua, the Palestinian West Bank, and several other post-conflict and developing areas.
